Self-Care Doesn't Have to Be Another Thing on Your To-Do List

Self-Care Doesn't Have to Be Another Thing on Your To-Do List

At the markets, I had the opportunity to talk with so many women about their skin-care routines.

One comment stayed with me.

Again and again, women would tell me they already had products at home — sometimes an entire drawer full of them.

But they weren't using them.

"I just don't have time."

That made me think about what self-care has become.

For many of us, it can feel like another task. Another routine we're supposed to follow. Another collection of products sitting in a drawer waiting for the day when we finally have more time.

But what if caring for yourself didn't have to be complicated?

You Don't Need an Elaborate Routine

Self-care doesn't have to mean a long morning routine, an hour-long bath, or ten different skin-care products.

Sometimes it's five minutes after a shower.

It's applying body oil while your skin is still slightly damp.

It's massaging a face serum into your skin before bed.

It's following body oil with body butter when your skin needs a little extra moisture.

It's taking a few quiet minutes to care for the skin you're in.

That's one of the ideas behind Found Ritual: simple products that can become simple rituals.

You don't need more products sitting unused in a drawer.

You need products that are easy to understand, easy to use, and easy to make part of your day.

Take the Guesswork Out of Skin Care

Another thing that can make skin care feel complicated is simply figuring out what to use.

Which serum? Which oil? Which ingredients? Is this product actually meant for my skin?

I created the Found Ritual collections to take some of that guesswork out of choosing your skin care.

Instead of sorting through individual products and trying to build a routine on your own, you can start with the collection that best matches your skin's needs:

Eternal Renewal — Mature or dull skin
Focused on nourishment, moisture, softness, and healthy-looking radiance.

Radiant Ritual — Normal to dry skin
Created to replenish moisture and help skin feel soft and comfortable.

Refined Balance — Normal to oily skin
Designed to support balanced, clear, healthy-looking skin without making your routine complicated.

Serene Harmony — Normal to sensitive skin
A gentle approach focused on comfort, hydration, and soothing care.

Once you've found your collection, you can keep your ritual as simple as you want.

Start with one or two products you know you'll use. Add another when it makes sense for you.

The goal isn't to fill another drawer.

It's to make choosing and using your skin care easier.

A Simple Ritual Can Be Enough

Your routine doesn't need to look the same every day.

Some days, it might simply be:

BODY
Cleanse → Body Oil

When your skin needs more:

BODY
Cleanse → Body Oil → Body Butter

And your face routine can be just as simple:

EVENING
Cleanse → Face Serum → Moisturize

That's it.

A few intentional steps can turn something you're already doing into a moment of care.

Taking Care of Yourself Isn't Taking Away From Anyone Else

Women spend so much time taking care of other people.

Family. Work. Home. Responsibilities. The never-ending list of things that need attention.

It's easy for your own care to become the thing you'll get to later.

But taking a few minutes for yourself doesn't mean you're taking something away from the people you care about.

When you feel cared for, comfortable, and good in your own skin, that feeling can carry into the rest of your day.

You may have a little more patience. A little more confidence. A little more energy to give.

Self-care isn't about putting yourself ahead of everyone else.

It's about remembering that you belong on the list, too.

Use What You Have

Before buying another product, open that drawer.

Use the body oil you forgot about.

Put the face serum somewhere you'll actually see it.

Keep your body butter near the shower instead of tucked away in a cabinet.

Make your products part of something you're already doing instead of creating another routine you have to remember.

And when you do choose new skin care, choose intentionally.

Choose products that fit your skin, your routine, and the amount of time you actually have.

Five Minutes Can Become a Ritual

There will always be something else you could be doing.

The laundry can wait five minutes.

The dishes can wait five minutes.

Your phone can wait five minutes.

Those few minutes aren't wasted time.

They're yours.

And maybe that's what self-care really needs to be — not another thing we have to accomplish, but a small reminder to slow down long enough to care for ourselves.

You don't need a drawer full of products.

You don't need a complicated routine.

You don't need an hour.

Start with five minutes.

Because when you take a little time to care for yourself, you're not only caring for your skin.

You're creating a ritual that reminds you that you're worth caring for, too.
